Panasonic is now the official projection technology of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. The partnership, announced at CES 2017, is quite a coup for Panasonic Projection Imaging Systems, which has been the global market leader in high-brightness professional projectors for seven years in a row.
The company is no stranger to the House of Mouse, as it already provides display technology to a number of attractions, including the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland Park, Radiator Springs Racers at Disney California Adventure Park, Haunted Mansion and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park and Frozen Ever After and Gran Fiesta Tour at Epcot. It’s also behind the projection technology to debut on the upcoming Na’vi River Journey, in new attraction Pandora The World of Avatar, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.
“Disney creates one-of-a-kind, world-class experiences which inspire guests to create unique and cherished memories at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort,” said Carlos Castro, vice president, Disney Corporate Alliances. “We are thrilled to work with Panasonic to continue to explore exciting and innovative new ways to tell our stories.”
